    Sound recording session / 2006

I am currently an assistant professor at Concordia University (Montréal), a research associate at the Geomatic and Cartographic Research Center at Carleton University in Ottawa (Canada), an Invited Researcher at the Département de Géographie de l'Université de Montréal. I completed my PhD at the Université J. Monnet de Saint-Etienne (France). My dissertation examined the integration of multimedia maps into public participation processes within the context of water management. Prior to moving to Canada, I served as a research associate in the Geography Department at Dartmouth College (New Hampshire, USA) for two years, during which time I analyzed patterns of worldwide flooding using technologies such as Remote Sensing, GIS, and Web Mapping. My current research examines the technological, artistic and scientific frontiers of cybercartography. For more details on my academic work please see my resume.

You can also find some examples of cybermaps - and much more - on my French web site.
